Often, some of the Garmin gps navigation refurbished devices are just as good as ones you can buy off the shelf only they are at a much lower cost.  If you can’t afford a new unit, buying a refurbished one just might be the way for you to go.
The disadvantage to buying a Garmin gps navigation, Magellan gps , handheld gps or tom tom gps refurbished unit is that they usually do not come with any type of warrantee or guarantee.  You are buying the unit “as is” and if anything goes wrong with it, it is up to you to fix it.
The company will not usually take it back to make it “better”.  The advantage to buying a Garmin navigator refurbished unit is that you will get it at a lower price and it will work just fine for your needs.
It’s very tempting to consider buying one of the refurbished GPS units you read about online and in advertisements.
What used to sell for $400 now sells for $200! For a model that sells for around $400 normally, a refurbished unit of that same model is currently only going to sell for about $50 less.
